Falls are the leading cause of death in construction, accounting for nearly one-third of all construction fatalities each year. According to OSHA, thousands of workers are seriously injured annually due to falls from heights, scaffolds, ladders, and elevated platforms — most of which are preventable with proper training.
The Fall Protection Competent Person Course prepares supervisors and safety personnel to identify fall hazards, implement effective fall protection systems, and ensure compliance with standards established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
This course provides in-depth training on recognizing fall hazards, selecting appropriate fall protection equipment, and overseeing safe work practices when employees are working at heights.
Participants will learn key topics including fall protection regulations, guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, ladder and scaffolding safety, and how to inspect and manage fall protection equipment.
